TNI Task Forces Helped Cross A River For DAL Children Going to School

Dal Nduga  ||  The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Nduga Regency area, Papua Mountain Province. 

On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, a Patrol Team of the 432 Task Forces conducted a security patrol in the Dal District, precisely in Dal Village. 

During the patrol, the Soldiers had the opportunity to help cross a river for the children of Dal Village who were going to school. 

In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of 432 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, conveyed the importance of the Task Force's attention to the basic needs of the community in the assigned area. 

Therefore, before the patrol, the Dal Post led by Captain Syarif, had planned a series of activities that would be conducted during the patrol, including helping cross a river for the children. 

Earlier, Captain Syarif had collected data from previous patrols and Social Communications with the Dal residents. Based on the plan, the Patrol Team departed to conduct the patrol and continued to prioritize the safety factor in crossing the river. 

When the Patrol Team met the children who were going to be crossed, the children immediately expressed their joy with big smiles while greeting, "Good morning, Om Tentara (Soldier), we are ready" said they child choir. 

After being assured of the safety and readiness of the Soldiers, each child was carried by each Soldier, and then the crossing process was conducted. 

Upon arriving at the far bank of the river, Markus Gwijangge, one of the children, said, "Thank you, Om 432. God bless," said Markus. 

"The initiative of the 432 Task Forces to help cross a river for the children of Dal Village who were going to school, is the TNI's effort to overcome the people's difficulties, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region," said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
