TNI Task Forces Care for Haircuts Welcome Cheerfully by the Gome Children

Gome  ||  The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. 

The 323 Task Forces Patrol Team conducted a security patrol in the Gome District, specifically the Misimaga Village. This time, the Soldiers utilized the patrol with an additional Territorial program entitled "TNI Cares for Haircuts", recently. 

Before the patrol began, on the orders of the 323 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, the Gome Post, led by First Lieutenant Galang, prepared barber equipment as additional supplies for the patrol. Upon arrival at the Misimaga Village, the Soldiers met a group of children playing. 

Seeing the Soldiers’ presence, the children immediately waved their hands to greet the Soldiers. Responding to the children while prioritizing safety factors, 1LT Galang, accompanied by several Soldiers approached them and started communication.

Through this communication, 1LT Galang conveyed the importance of tidiness and personal hygiene for the Young Generation who will be the Backbone of the Nation in the future. Following up on his statement, 1LT Galang offered the children to have their hair cut as a form of awareness of personal tidiness and personal hygiene. It didn't take long to respond quickly, "We do, Om Tentara (Soldier)." While cutting their hair, the Soldiers also conducted Social Communication to incorporate Pancasila values into the implementation of their daily lives. 

The children responded enthusiastically to the presentation by listening carefully and responding spontaneously when asked. After the haircut, a child who had his hair cut, named Tius Wakerwa, said "Thank you, Om Tentara, for cutting my hair," his said. 

The creativity of the 323 Task Forces held Social Communication entitled, "TNI Cares for Haircuts in the Misimaga Village, is an implementation of inclusive Social Communication with all community groups, to support efforts to accelerate development in the Papua region," said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.[k7 nell]
